We’re so, so proud of our long-time student Mia for recently getting accepted to LaGuardia High School! She is so talented, patient, and hard-working and we have no doubt that this is just the beginning of her success as an artist. Congratulations, Mia!
We are thrilled to welcome Rocco to The Art Center family.
If you’ve ever been to The Art Center, then chances are you know Paul, our amazing head teacher of nearly six years. Paul’s son was born on Valentine’s Day and we’d like to wish the new family all the best and sincere congratulations!
Thank you to all of our incredible students for your support – because of you we were recently awarded a Small Business Excellence Award!
Our third Gallery Showcase class exhibition is still on view at our 75th street location!
Come by to see the culmination of eleven students’ hard work. We are so proud of everyone and can’t wait to see next semester’s show!
Isabelle made a lovely series of watercolor flowers during camp this week. They’d make such nice gifts, or would look great framed and in a gallery wall!
Michael has been attending our Mostly Art summer program for two weeks, and in that time he’s created a ton of awesome art including a Chewbacca sculpture, animal paintings, and this abstract piece. Great work!
Going through our photo archives, we stumbled on this Matisse reproduction from 10 years ago! It’s nice to see that some things haven’t changed – Matisse paintings have been apart of our third grade curriculum for quite some time now.
Emile recently finished this landscape painting in the Monday Art for Teens class. He did such a beautiful job and put so much detail into a very small canvas!
With the weather being so beautiful this week, we’ve been using every excuse to move class out to our backyard! One of our preschool classes even had an outdoor life drawing session, and the results were adorable.
