Goodbye Sarah, Hello Allison!

First Grade Drawing: Van Gogh

Jennifer made this wonderfully detailed drawing of Vincent van Gogh’s “A Pair of Leather Clogs” in our Mixed-Age class! Van Gogh painted this pair of leather clogs in 1888 while working at his Yellow House studio in Arles, France. Using a palette knife technique to create intricate depth and texture in his painting, Van Gogh brought about an exciting new approach to still lifes. Like Van Gogh, Jennifer has done a really fantastic job of bringing these shoes to life!
